Sealing a Massachusetts criminal record, or “CORI” as it is known, is a powerful and effective way to preserve your future after a case is dismissed, continued without a finding (“CWOF”), or even if you plead or were found guilty of a misdemeanor or felony.
Once your Massachusetts criminal case is sealed, it disappears from view for almost all purposes, including for employers, educational institutions, and housing providers or landlords.

We offer affordable flat fees for record sealing cases, and we'll walk you through the entire process. We'll take these steps with you:
Obtain your Massachusetts CORI record to ensure accuracy.
Determine if you are eligible for Expungement or Sealing.
Determine if we can take care of your record administratively or if a court hearing will be necessary.
Prepare and submit all documents and supplemental materials to support your petition.
Conduct all necessary court hearings.
Address any concerns or unexpected requirements the Probation Department or Court may have until your petition is granted.
After the petition to seal or expunge is granted, we will confirm that your record has been sealed or expunged in the system and your CORI report is clean.
Am I Eligible for Expungement?
Eligibility requirements for expungement are very narrow. Generally you can only expunge cases that occurred before your 21st birthday, and you can only have a total of two cases. But, even if you aren't eligible for expungement, sealing your record will often be just as effective for your needs.
How long does it take?
Administrative sealing usually can be successfully completed in about 45-60 days. If hearings are required, that can add approximately 60 days to the timeline.

Cost will depend upon the nature of your record, but most people will pay less than $1500, and we have payment plan options that let you spread the cost out. Its not much to pay for a new, clean future.
